thum said lots of things that struck me during shan xi today. somehow it just did, although those words are nothing but words. probably because it's the way he said it, the tone he placed in them, and that it was thum who said it. i actually had to gulped back tears, kinda literally during yao zu today. dk why it's always yao zu, and it's always the man ban which made me want to cry. at the thought of him gonna leave us after this year, the amount of effort he placed in this performance, the fact that he wanted us to play yizu well because it's one of his favs, his screaming and shouting at us because we can't get the feelings right, how focused he was when he was conducting, yao zu man ban was one which i really enjoyed. and after every he zou, i can't helped but feel more sad each time round, because it's coming to an end. i think yao zu happens to be the last song for kalei and that's the last time he'll be conducting for us i think and the last time we played with the sec 4s. for every batch of seniors that left, i would feel sad and reluctant to let them go, but this time round, i think i'll end up crying to see them go. i learnt what music was all about from thum. i learn how to feel music from thum. i learn how important and precise each and every note has to be. i learn so many things from thum and now he's leaving. i didn't regret coming to xinmin, coming to xms gz ensemble. because it made me learn to many life lessons, it gave me so many opportunities. i'm gonna try my very best for kalei. i'll make an effort to try and get every 4 and 7 correct. for myself, seniors and thum.
